CAROLYN + CLAY • ENGAGED

// oh, where do I even begin with these two? clay and carolyn are easily two of my favorite humans on earth. they've been friends of ours for many years and it's been so incredible to watch their relationship blossom. aside from being amazingly talented musicians (they make music together as the black wolf and the thief) they have a deep love of their family and their faith and their pups and of course, each other (clyde and toki wartooth made a cameo at the end of our shoot). I'm pretty sure they never stopped laughing during our session. what a beautiful way to go through life - laughing together. 23 days to go! #canbaerlywaittobeacolley

Adam + Sarah • engaged

THESE TWO! I've known Sarah and Adam for many years and was so honored when they asked me to photograph their wedding next year. Since moving to Warren, they have made such an impact in their community, including restoring their historic home in the Perkins neighborhood and opening Modern Methods Brewing Company, (bringing local beer to the city of Warren for the first time since 1880 - how cool is that?!). I love people who are so driven and passionate; I feel like that passion permeates to all aspects of their lives - especially when it comes to their relationship. Watching how in love Adam and Sarah are makes my heart SO happy.

PS: You know you're marrying the right person when she happily agrees to roll down a hill with you at the end of your engagement session... #relationshipgoals

Beth Ann + Chris • engaged

Two of my favorite people on earth are getting married next month! Our best friends Chris and Beth Ann will be in excellent hands with Melanie photographing their wedding (I'm a Matron of Honor!), but these portraits NEEDED to happen because the world NEEDS to see just how dang cute these two are.

Location: Fellows Riverside Gardens, Mill Creek MetroParks

Kaitlyn + John

You know how sometimes you meet people and you immediately just... click? That's Kaitlyn and John. Easygoing and sweet as pie (or in our case... ice cream!), these two were a dream to photograph up in the Cleve. Plus it's always so nice to see chivalry's not dead - at one point during the session at Edgewater Park, John carried his future wife down a crazy steep hill just so she wouldn't have to walk through the tall grass. True love at its finest!

Wedding date: May 6, 2017

Locations: Market Garden, Ohio City, Mitchell's Ice Cream, Edgewater Park
