// it's always such an honor when a bride-to-be trusts me to capture one of the most momentous days of her life. but when that bride-to-be happens to be your friend, that feeling grows tenfold. jamie and I have known each other for many years and I could not be more honored that she chose me to photograph her wedding. she is an amazing human - incredibly kind, ambitious, creative, and so full of life. eric is the perfect mate to this beautiful soul, and as soon as you see them together, you can see how deeply they love and respect each other. 

perfect weather, epic locations, stunning subjects, full trust in me and no time limit except the setting sun made for an unforgettable session with my dear friend and the wonderful man she will soon call her husband. it's really true what they say. when clients trust their photographers, incredible things happen - especially when those clients are your friends, and those friends are willing to wade through creeks, climb on rocks and hike through the woods with you. it's sessions like these that remind me why I do what I do.

// there's just something about october. I could not have asked for a better way to kick off this glorious month than to spend a sun-drenched evening with these two incredible people. nikki is a member of one of my all-time favorite families - you can read all about the villellas and how we met here. being around these two, you would swear they have known each other their whole lives. nikki and ryan have already overcome so many obstacles in the few years they've been together, and their love for each other has only grown stronger. that rock-solid love, combined with the love of their families and their faith, has the power to get them through any curve balls that life might throw their way. their wedding next july is sure to be an emotional, beautiful, epic party - I can't wait. 

KELLEE + DJ • ENGAGED

// you know when you meet someone for the first time and you immediately feel like you've known that person forever? that's the feeling I got when I finally met kellee in person a few weeks ago as she hopped out of the car and immediately gave me this warm, wonderful hug. kellee and her fiance DJ are both such genuinely kind and lovely people, so in love with each other and full of life. I don't know how I continue to keep hitting the dream client jackpot, but it keeps happening again and again and I'm so grateful. 

we'd been working hard to find time for a mini engagement session since DJ works out of town, and I'm thankful they found time for this - I'm so looking forward to their beautiful november wedding next year!
